COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE.
In February 2025, The Do More Agriculture Foundation started a new community of practice (CoP) in Canada. It’s designed to connect those who work for non-profits, charitable organizations, and related entities which focus on the connection point of mental health and agriculture. A community of practice is a space to network, connect, share, learn, support, challenge, and grow together.
Why Join?
This Community of Practice (CoP) for Mental Health in Agriculture and Rural Communities is a collaborative space for stakeholders who support mental health in agriculture and rural communities. Our aim is to foster shared learning, connection, resource exchange, and coordinated action to better serve farmers, farm families, and rural residents across Canada.
These meetings are held monthly on Zoom and are open to representatives of organizations involved in or supporting mental health in agricultural and rural communities. Meeting notes are shared with members of the Community of Practice each month. Since February 2025, there have been six meetings and participation has grown to over 20 organizations.
How to Join?
The Do More Agriculture Foundation is committed to uplifting and connecting all those who share our mission of cultivating a culture of well-being in Canadian farming communities, and holding space for these organizations to build mutual support. By working together, sharing resources and building strength, we will together foster resilient and sustainable farming and ranching communities and people.
Please read the Terms of Engagement for the CoP below. If you are interested in joining us, please send an email indicating your interest in participating in the Community of Practice to Dr. Merle Massie, Executive Director, The Do More Agriculture Foundation. merle@domore.ag
