ABOUT US.
The Do More Agriculture Foundation (Do More Ag) is a national charitable foundation helping you champion mental health in agriculture across Canada.
HOW WE DO MORE.
We help you champion the mental wellbeing of those in Canadian agriculture, from the farmgate to the boardroom and everywhere in between. We help you cultivate a culture where everyone is encouraged, supported, and empowered to care for mental health.
Agriculture is an industry built on deep rural roots, hard work, resilience, independence and strength. These same traits can also be the industry’s weakness when they become barriers to speaking up and seeking help. Those in the Canadian agriculture industry are among the most vulnerable when it comes to mental health issues: stress, anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion and burnout are all high, and we lose too many to suicide.
Give yourself the gift of courage and confidence to do more for mental health — for yourself, for those around you.
OUR MISSION.
To cultivate a culture of mental wellbeing with Canadian farming communities.
OUR VISION.
An industry where all farming communities are encouraged, empowered and supported to take care of their mental wellbeing.
OUR PILLARS
The Do More Agriculture Foundation operates under three pillars.
As a Canadian charity, these pillars drive our focus and efforts across the agriculture industry.
Action
Action for awareness, education and breaking the stigma. These are the first steps to making a real & lasting impact for mental health. We take action for increased awareness, knowledge and understanding.
Community
Community activates a sense of belonging and hope. When you feel connected, you are more likely to reach out, show up, and listen. We help local leaders foster spaces where conversations around mental health are welcomed, and where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we grow strength for support, inclusion, belonging, and resilience.
Resources
Mental health services and supports are hard to access in rural and remote locations. We help you bridge the gap and connect with the support, education and resources you need to thrive. Support is available. There is help, and there is hope.
