COMMUNITY FUND.
Bring mental health training to your agricultural community or organization.
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY FUND
The Community Fund for Mental Health Education is proudly presented in partnership with Farm Credit Canada, and made possible through the generous support of all Do More Agriculture Foundation partners and many local businesses.
The Fund enables agriculture communities across Canada to access mental health education and literacy workshops at little to no cost. By equipping individuals with tools and training to support themselves and each other through all kinds of mental health challenges, we’re helping to build resilience and foster healthier, more connected communities in agriculture.
INTERESTED IN BRINGING A FREE MENTAL HEALTH WORKSHOP TO YOUR COMMUNITY?
Each year, we invite applications from agricultural communities and small businesses across Canada. Whether you’re a part of a community group, municipal government, agricultural association, faith-based group, service group, or are simply a passionate community champion—if you’re ready to take action for mental health in your rural ag community, we’d love to hear from you.
Our 2026 Community Fund application will open in February 2026 and will be linked here once applications are open.

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP OPTIONS.
Talk Ask Listen
Our flagship mental health literacy workshop, Talk Ask Listen, developed by The Do More Ag Foundation, is an interactive workshop. It is designed to foster and support people across agricultural communities, from producers right through industry and community, to increase mental health knowledge, become comfortable with mental health conversations, and learn how to take action. Talk Ask Listen helps participants to build skillsets and knowledge; it is not therapy. Our workshops help communities, business and industry, and farms cultivate a culture of wellbeing. Talk Ask Listen has been delivered to over 2,500 participants since the program's inception.
Workshop Length: 3 hours
Delivery: In-person or Virtual

Mental Health First Aid Essentials
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Facilitated by a Certified Instructor, is a suite of courses, focused on core knowledge and practical skills. Designed to be accessible and applicable across many settings, Essentials offers a strong foundation in MHFA principles without formal assessment or certification—making it an ideal option for communities seeking meaningful training. Learn effective communication techniques, reflective Self-Awareness, and understand stigma, diagnostic labelling, and barriers to helping. The courses do not lead to Certification.

SafeTALK equips people to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and better able to connect them with further help. Using a simple yet effective model, SafeTALK empowers everyone to make a difference. The training is specific for suicide help. The program teaches participants how to reach out to someone thinking about suicide and help them keep safe by promptly connecting them to further support.
