WHAT WE OFFER.

Did you know that 1 in 4 Canadians will experience a mental health challenge at some point in their lifetime? And with 1 in 8 jobs in Canada tied to agriculture, it’s clear the ag community needs more tailored mental health resources.

Through ongoing feedback, one thing is clear: people want to better understand mental health and how to support others. That’s why we’ve created two unique programs: Talk Ask Listen and AgCulture.

Whether you're part of the agriculture community looking to build your mental health knowledge, or a mental health professional wanting to better support rural and ag-based clients, we have a workshop for you.

  • A mental health workshop designed for agricultural and rural communities and businesses.

    Workshop Overview

Our flagship mental health literacy workshop, Talk Ask Listen, was developed by The Do More Agriculture Foundation. It is an interactive 3+ hour session designed to foster and support people across agricultural communities, from producers right through industry and community, to increase mental health knowledge, become comfortable with mental health conversations, and learn how to take action. Talk Ask Listen helps participants to build skillsets and understanding; it is not therapy. Our workshops help communities, business, industry and farms cultivate a culture of well-being. Our facilitators include mental health professionals and those with lived mental health and agricultural experience.

Talk Ask Listen is also available in a lightning one hour version - perfect for conferences.

  • AgCulture is a mental health in agriculture literacy program developed to:

    1. Build awareness of the agriculture industry and the unique stressors facing Canadian producers.

    2. Further educate mental health professionals who may not have extensive or direct experience on the farm.

    3. Improve relatability between a farmer and mental health professional so that an effective therapeutic relationship can be built and maintained.

    4. Learn to apply culturally competent practical skills to aid in building the therapeutic relationship with rural clients, plus more.

    Workshop Outline.

    1. Introduction to the agriculture industry
